SIGNAL INPUTS

Several signals, considered together.

The manufacturer's sensing approach combines pulse-wave information with temperature, activity and posture. These inputs support monitoring related to breeding, calving and animal health.

01

Pulse-wave features

Tail pulse-wave characteristics provide one input to the combined monitoring model.

02

Temperature

Temperature changes are considered alongside the other signals.

03

Activity

Changes in activity provide context for the animal's monitored state.

04

Posture and behaviour

Posture and movement patterns add context to changes that need attention.

MONITORING AREAS

Monitoring that leads to a farm check.

Breeding-related observation

Use physiological and activity changes to guide breeding-period checks and follow-up.

Calving-period monitoring

Arrange who receives relevant alerts and how staff check the animal.

Day-to-day health observation

Review changes, check the animal and record the response. Farm staff arrange veterinary assessment when needed.

Veterinary follow-up

Prepare available monitoring records and staff observations for the veterinarian's examination and agreed review arrangements.

VETERINARY COLLABORATION

Monitoring records for veterinary follow-up.

Connect the available monitoring changes with animal identification and staff observations, so the farm and its veterinarian have useful context for checks and follow-up.

THE WORKING SETUP

Equipment, platform and people.

The device is the sensing component. A working setup also needs a data-transfer arrangement, platform access and staff who can respond to alerts.

  1. 01

    Collect signals

The tail-worn device collects physiological and activity information.

  2. 02

    Review monitoring information

The manufacturer's platform brings monitoring information and alerts to staff.

  3. 03

    Check and follow up

The assigned staff member checks the animal and records what happened.

DEPLOYMENT PLANNING

Plan a small deployment first.

Begin with a defined group of animals and agree how the setup will be reviewed. Check data availability, alert delivery, staff response and the records kept before expanding the deployment.

FAQ

Equipment and deployment questions

Is the sensor supplied on its own?

The quotation covers the agreed combination of equipment, platform access and deployment work. The device needs to fit the farm's monitoring and communication arrangements.

Which herds can it be considered for?

Tell us whether you manage dairy or beef cattle, the herd size and operating conditions. We confirm equipment suitability and configuration with the manufacturer.

What does J2K handle?

We work through requirements with the farm team and coordinate equipment configuration, platform and system-connection needs with the technology manufacturer. The proposal names the responsibilities for each part of delivery.

How is it priced?

Equipment, platform services, installation, training and ongoing support are scoped in the quotation. One-off and continuing charges are shown separately.
